Children from Belmont Pre-School/Extended K program planted a garden full of vegetables in our hallway. They observed and compared our plants on their growth. As the children were watching the sweet pea plants grow, they notifced that the tendrils coming off of the peas were tangling themselves together. The children used their critical thinking to engineer structures to help assist the sweet pea plants for climbing and growing. The children asked for the supplies and began a scientific process to test different structures to help the peas grow.
